Protoflow Gelatin and Soy: What the Other Ingredients Mean
Protoflow lists gelatin, the capsule shell, and soy protein concentrate under other ingredients. Gelatin is an animal product. Soy is one of the nine major food allergens, so anyone with a soy allergy should ask a clinician before using it. The label does not say which animal the gelatin comes from.

The list01
What are the other ingredients in Protoflow?
Seven items: rice flour, gelatin, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, maltodextrin, soy protein concentrate and water (Protoflow bottle label).
Most are helpers. Rice flour and maltodextrin bulk up the powder, magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide keep it flowing, and gelatin forms the shell. Soy protein concentrate is the odd one out, because it is a food protein, not a flow agent.
Two flags02
Who should think twice about gelatin or soy?
Vegans and vegetarians for gelatin, and anyone allergic to soy for the concentrate.
| Ingredient | What it is | Matters to |
|---|---|---|
| Gelatin | Animal-derived capsule shell | Vegans, vegetarians, some religious diets |
| Soy protein concentrate | Protein from soybeans | People with soy allergy |
The label does not name the animal behind the gelatin. A buyer who follows a halal, kosher or other rule must ask the order desk, because no certificate is printed.
Soy03
Is the soy in Protoflow a risk for allergy?
It can be. Soybeans are on FDA's list of major allergens, and the source must appear on a label (FDA, Food Allergies).
A concentrate is made of soy protein, the part that triggers allergy. The label does not state how much is in each capsule. Ask an allergist before use, and stop and seek care for hives, swelling or trouble breathing.
Soy lecithin, soy oil and soy protein are not the same thing, so do not assume a past reaction tells you how you would react here.

How do you check before you buy?
Read the panel, then call the desk with the question that matters to you.
- Save a photo of the other ingredients line for your clinician
- Ask the desk at +1 (302) 200-3480 about the gelatin source
- Compare with the sales page's "Non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free" words, which the label does not back
The vegan question has its own post: is Protoflow vegan. Everything else is on the ingredients page.
FAQ05
Protoflow gelatin and soy questions
Is the gelatin in Protoflow from pork or beef?
The label does not say. Ask the order desk, and treat the capsule as unsuitable if your diet needs a certified source (Protoflow bottle label).
Can a person with a mild soy sensitivity take Protoflow?
Ask an allergist. The concentrate is soy protein, and the label gives no amount per capsule.
Does soy protein concentrate act like a hormone?
This site found no source linking the concentrate in a capsule to a hormone effect, so it makes no such claim.
Does the label print a Contains: soy line?
We read soy protein concentrate in the other ingredients list, which names the source in the list itself. We did not find a separate allergen line (FDA, Food Allergies).
