Form factor
Prostate Health Supplements: Gummies vs Capsules, and Which Label Details Matter
Prostate health supplements gummies are chewable and tasty; capsules hold more powder and usually skip added sugar. Form does not change the evidence, because the herb and dose do. Protoflow is a capsule, 2 a day, and we know of no Protoflow gummy. Compare the panel and the price per day, not the shape.

The choice01
Are prostate health supplements gummies as good as capsules?
They can be, if the label shows the same amounts. The form is a convenience, not a benefit.
A gummy has to fit herbs into a sweet chew, which can limit how much of each ingredient fits in a serving. Saw palmetto trials used 320 mg a day and up, and still showed little benefit for BPH (Barry et al., JAMA 2011 (CAMUS)). So read the amounts before you judge the shape. Divide the price by the days a bottle lasts, too, because a pleasant chew can cost more per day.
Side by side02
How do capsules and gummies compare?
Four differences are worth a glance at the label.
| Point | Capsule | Gummy |
|---|---|---|
| Added sugar | Usually none | Often some, check the panel |
| Swallowing | Needs water | Chewed |
| Allergens | Protoflow: soy, gelatin (FDA, Food Allergies) | Varies by gelling agent |
| Per-day cost | Protoflow: $1.63 to $2.63 | Compare the same way |
Protoflow03
What form is Protoflow?
A gelatin capsule. Adults take two daily with water.
The label lists rice flour, gelatin, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, maltodextrin and soy protein concentrate. The gelatin shell makes it unsuitable for vegans, and a soy flag applies. The sales page calls it "Non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free", which the panel does not support. See how to take it.

How should you pick a form?
By dose, allergens and price per day.
Pick the form you will actually take every day, as long as the panel shows every amount. Then ask a pharmacist about medicines, since the herbs matter more than the shape. Keep taking prescribed medicine. Related: how to take prostate supplements.
FAQ05
Gummies vs capsules: questions
Do gummies absorb better than capsules?
We found no source that says so for these ingredients, so we do not claim it.
Can children get into gummy supplements by mistake?
Yes, gummies look like candy. Protoflow's label says keep out of reach of children.
Why do gummy labels list added sugar?
The chew needs a sweetener or sugar. Check the panel if you watch blood sugar.
Is there a Protoflow liquid or drops?
No. The label shows capsules, with 60 in each bottle.
Can I open a capsule and mix it into food?
The label gives no such direction. Follow the label: two capsules daily with water.
